Interested in How to Effectively Support Students with Significant Disabilities in the Classroom?

Writer: Susan CecereSusan Cecere

A course I was hoping to teach was canceled due to lack of interest...but I know you school-based PTs and OTs out there struggle with this very special population. I am happy to do one-on-one sessions with anyone interested in learning more about working with these students from 3-21 - helping teams to see the possibilities that abound when focusing on student strengths, leveraging the ecological approach, and using the F Words of Disability as a foundation. My sessions will focus on assessment, writing goals, designing interventions and making decisions about supplementary aids and services. We will also discuss making service decisions and using dosing tools to help us craft the frequency and duration of sessions to maximize our interventions.
